We are a group of people interested in learning about local history and preserving it for future generations. In addition to hosting a programme of yearly talks, we look after the Old Rectory Museum, opening it over the summer, guiding visitors, and hosting events at the building.

Full Details:

The LAHS has looked after the Old Rectory Museum, a Grade II* listed medieval manor house, for nearly 60 years. In addition it runs a regular schedule of talks of local, historical, and archaeological interest. • Prepare and present a yearly report on the LAHS’ finances to the membership at the Annual General Meeting
• Prepare and submit the LAHS’ accounts to the Charity Commission
• Renew the LAHS’ insurance each year
