we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver our singing cafes and/or tea parties. Driving is only helpful for the lunc hparties to pick up our guests if possible but not essential.
there is no food preparation required but serving refreshments would be helpful and just looking after people
Our Thrive Tea Parties exist to provide a safe community space and provide a lifeline of
friendship for individuals bringing them together and encouraging positive conversation.
They are designed to help people with mental health challenges and loneliness and provide
a healthy environment for members of the community to eat drink and meet new people
Our Thrive Tea Parties are not just for the elderly we are looking to open out to all ages due
to the cost of living crisis so anyone can come along be warm and enjoy good food and chat
with others but not feel they have to join in if they don’t want to.
The tea parties will last around two hours and will usually take place on a Sunday afternoon.
You must be comfortable socialising with people and providing guests and other volunteers
with refreshments.
Its an easy, do what you can opportunity for anyone who is mobile both physically and has their own transport. All reasonable expenses agreed will be covered such as petrol, with agreement by our volunteer supervisor.
