Theater Bar Volunteers

It is often said that “it is the work taking place inside the building, rather than the bricks and mortar, that make a theatre a theatre, but a great bar is its beating heart.”  This rightly describes the Spotlight Bar at Concordia.  Run by a dedicated team of volunteers who, along with serving drinks, collecting payments and operating the fully electronic tills, also make it a welcoming place for our patrons and add to making your visit to the theatre a special, sociable occasion. Volunteers are always needed for the rota; in the evenings for performance nights and on Saturday mornings. Duties include taking orders, serving drinks, clearing tables, and loading and unloading the dishwasher.

It is a great opportunity for anyone interested in theatre and performance, and anyone looking to meet new people and be part of a small friendly team.

• • We are looking for friendly volunteers who can provide a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Some related experience would be helpful, but not essential.

• • Training and supervision provided

• • Bar volunteers must be aged 18 and over

• • Volunteers will be asked for two references, which will be taken up before they start

• • Recruitment – application form, DBS check, informal discussion

• • Unfortunately, expenses are not available for this opportunity.
