Full Details:

Working in partnership with schools in Leicester and Leicestershire, Anstey Alpacas teaches and supports children about the various aspects of rearing and caring for livestock as well preparing the ground and shelters that the animals may use.

Anstey Alpacas requires a volunteer(s) who will be able to:
· Work with children from local secondary and special schools
· Assist the children with any coursework that they may be completing
· Guide the children in rearing and caring for animals in an outdoor setting
. Engage in the upkeep of the fields and shelters

Requirements
· An enhanced DBS
· References
· A keen interest in supporting children
. Complete relevant safeguarding training
To volunteer on a weekly basis in all weather conditions

Volunteers required to set a positive example for students, complete tasks regardless of weather, attend occasional training in Safeguarding, and commit to 5 hours of work per week.
