About this role

Our speaker programme is designed to spread awareness and generate funds which help us run life changing projects and lead system changing campaigns

The speaker programme has been running successfully for decade, with speakers reactively responding to requests. Post pandemic we are looking to take the programme to the next level by significantly increasing our number of speakers and the number of talks on our work each year. To do this we need we need a number of dedicated Research and Admin  Co-ordinators to help us recruit more speakers and generate talks.

The role is entirely home based and can fit around your available hours. You will be given one to one training and will have the full support of your Community Relationship Manager

Requirements

  • References needed

To be effective in this role, you will need to be available for 2 to 3 hours per week and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office access to the internet and a computer and be able to commit to a minimum of one year

The key activities of the role will include: Researching schools ,community groups and faith where the voice a speaker may increase engagement, awareness and funds
Contacting the above by email to offer a Speaker to give a talk on the Work of The Children's Society.
Placing adverts for speakers and promoting the speaker roles in church and local press and parish newsletter.  
Liaising with Community Relationship Mangers to book speakers on to interview and training and send out role descriptions application and screening form.  
Sending out reference requests  
Up dating social media feeds to promote speaker roles opportunities and talks
Formal qualifications are not required as full training will be provided.
To be effective in this role, we ask that you:
Have excellent IT skills
Undertake data protection Training
Understand of how social media works
Have a passion to make a difference
Can commit to a minimum of one year
