Social group assistant

About this Opportunity

Overview:

Research shows that people with a learning disability have fewer friends and experience loneliness at a higher rate than their peers who do not have a learning disability. Help us to change this!

Sunny Skies Social Club will meet for monthly social gatherings at pubs in and around Melton Mowbray. The meetings will take place on Tuesday afternoons, 5pm – 7pm.

Jamie, founder of the club, told us “it will be an opportunity to have fun, meet new people, and build relationships”. Inspired by his own experience of struggling to make friends, Jamie is passionate about making the club inclusive and welcoming. To do this, he needs volunteers!

This is an opportunity to join the Welly’s Work Place and Sunny Skies Enterprises CIC team. We are a passionate, ambitious and fun-loving bunch who work together to Give Life Some Welly and make great things happen for our community.
