About the organisation:

We organise volunteer drivers from Lutterworth, Broughton Astley and the surrounding villages, who use their own car to give lifts to people so they can go to medical appointments and events that they would not otherwise be able to get to. This is a role for people that enjoy driving and helping others. We pay expenses for your mileage, and don’t mandate how often you drive for us. Some of our volunteers drive almost daily, others only as and when they want to.

Full Details:

We are looking for people who enjoy driving and want to help other members of their community.
The volunteer will use their own car, and we pay mileage expenses at 45 pence per mile, paid monthly on completion of an expenses sheet. Clients are sent a monthly invoice so there is no requirement for the driver to handle money.
Bookings are taken at our office and are then matched to the most appropriate driver. We usually communicate with you by phone and email.
Most of our passengers travel during the week, but some drivers also make themselves available at weekends.
There is no minimum or maximum commitment, and you are always free to say no to a drive.

When and Where:

We serve Lutterworth and the surrounding villages in Leicestershire, including Broughton Astley so most of our volunteers come from this area. You may be asked to drive to other locations such as hospitals in Leicester and Coventry.
