SEN Football Coach or Support Staff

About this Opportunity

Overview:

We are looking for people that either have a background in SEN or would like to get involved in supporting children and adults with SEN to access football through our Pan-Disability Football Club. Ideally you will have a love of football. Coaching experience is not required, as you will be fully supported by FA qualified coaches. The club will support and finance DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid courses, and anyone wanting to progress their coaching knowledge pay for the FA Introduction to Coaching course.

About the organisation:

We are. charity run football club specifically for children and adults with additional needs. We are affiliated to Leicestershire & Rutland FA and play within the East Midlands Pan-Disability League. We also run SEN Football Holiday Clubs from our base at Countesthorpe Academy.

Full Details:

Our training sessions are run at Countesthorpe Academy on Saturday mornings, supporting players aged 6-16years between 11-12 and adults from 12-13.30. Players have varied requirements and needs, some requiring smaller group work, visual explanations of drills, to 1-1 support therefore as a club that is continuing to grow we keep our player – coach ratio high.
Sessions between 11-12 are split into teams aged 8-12 and 12-16, we also have a section of 5-8 years that train. At the moment we have approx 40 players attend each week.
Sessions between 12-1.30 are for over 16’s where we have 3 adult teams covering division 1, championship and premiership leagues. We have approx 35 adult players.
All teams play in the East Midlands Pan-Disability League.

When and Where:

We run our sessions on the 2G & 3G pitches at Countesthorpe Academy Saturday Mornings 11-12 and 12-1.30
