About the organisation:

We are a community based Scout group in “the Barn” on Braunstone Lane, we have been running for over 75 years and recently purchased our premises. We have young people between the ages of 6 to 24 with us in either: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers. To continue to grow, and take in more young people, we need more volunteers to come along and help, especially in the scout section ( 10-14yrs), you will be joining an established friendly team and will be offered all the support and training you need. We will carry out a Free DBS check and will work around your availability, so even if you cannot spare every week, we still need you!. Any previous Scouting experience would be ideal, but not essential, your time is much more important to us.

Full Details:

Volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.

Scouts can make you feel good in other ways too. We’ll guide you to an opportunity where you’ll:

Make friends and meet people
Try new things and challenge yourself
Get outdoors and get stuck in
Positively impact your community
Create vital opportunities for young people
Make memories that’ll last a lifetime
If you can only occasionally help, that’s OK. Whether you’d like to be an activity planner, tea-maker or craft creator, we appreciate any time you can spare.
Whatever your background, or identity , there’s a volunteer spot with your name on it.

When and Where:

We meet in our recently purchased building, “The Barn” on Braunstone Lane, Beavers and Cubs on a Monday Evening, Scouts on a Wednesday.
