About this Opportunity

Overview:

Through your energy and enthusiasm, you will be helping us reach younger audiences, opening doors to make it possible for children to talk about grief by delivering engaging talks in schools and in the community. Your impact will be huge in raising awareness of LOROS Hospice and will inspire a younger generation to support us. This opportunity is term time only and during school hours!

LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year we care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers. We deliver care that is special and unique to each individual

Full Details:

What will you be doing?

– Visiting schools/community groups to talk to children of different ages about LOROS and the support we provide
– Talk about ways schools/community groups can fundraise and support LOROS
– Help us to build connections locally with schools/community groups to arrange further talks/visits and expand our reach.

Personal qualities you will need:

– Friendly and approachable
– Any experience delivering short presentations would be great- but as long as you are confident speaking in front of a group!
– Be able to adapt and engage with different age groups
– Use plain English
– You will need your own transport (we will provide you with reasonable travel expenses)

When and Where:

Flexible during term time Monday- Friday between 9am-3pm. To cover schools/community groups in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
