Would you like to be involved in a vibrant festival of arts and culture? We are looking for volunteers to assist with the talk “Love Poetry from Classical India: Desire, Memory and Suggestion in Kālidāsa’s Meghadūta” as part of Nartan Festival. If you love South Asian culture, or would like to find out more about it, this is the volunteering opportunity for you.
Following her fascinating talk on the Nāṭya Shāstra last year, Nupur Arts are very pleased to welcome back Maddalena Italia, Associate Lecturer (Teaching) at UCL, to deliver a talk exploring Sanskrit love poetry, with a focus on Kālidāsa’s Meghadūta. No prior knowledge is necessary to enjoy the talk, just a curiosity about Indian cultural heritage. We are looking for volunteers aged 18+ to assist with the event, helping the Nupur Arts staff team to get the space ready and welcome the audience. You will be able to listen to the talk.
