About the organisation:

We fundraise in Melton Mowbray for the charity by organising events and encouraging others to raise funds. We have committee meetings about 5 times a year to plan events, coordinate our activities, and check on fundraising. The Macmillan charity is well recognised and our fundraising makes a very worthwhile contribution to fund nurses and support for cancer patients and their families. There is not a regular time commitment and we would welcome people with new ideas and enthusiasm to join us.

Full Details:

We would welcome people with new ideas and enthusiasm.
Many people have been touched by cancer and our fundraising goes to help fund specialist nurses and provides support for cancer patients and their families.

There is no regular time commitment and this is an opportunity to meet new people and perhaps bring some new skills and ideas to the group.

New volunteers have to provide basic contact details and it is helpful if they can communicate using e mail.

When and Where:

We have committee meetings about 5 times a year in the evening where we plan events and check on our fundraising achievements.
Supporting the organised events would be expected.
