LOROS – Stomp Round Leicester – Trail Volunteer

The Tusk Force will be an integral part of the art trail and the public face of LOROS throughout Stomp Round Leicester. You will be vital in helping the public understand what the art project is and LOROS’ role in running it. Volunteers will walk a section of the trail, checking in on the condition of the Elephant sculptures, engaging with the public about the trail and LOROS, and directing trail goers to the hub shop and online ways to support.

The Tusk Force will be out and about throughout the ten weeks of the trail, from July to September, Thursday to Sunday every week. Volunteer roles will be available for an occasional or irregular time slot, or you can commit to a regular weekly time slot for the duration of the trail.

What you will be doing

· Checking in on the sculptures in your allocated section of the trail and reporting any damage or vandalism to the Logistics team

· Chatting to the public and raising awareness of LOROS and its involvement with the trail

· Directing trail goers to the ‘hub’ souvenir shop at This + That on High Street, and other local venues who will be selling maps

· Encouraging the public to take photos of the Elephants and share them on social media

· Talking about other LOROS events and how people can get involved

· Encouraging trail goers to download and access the app

A Community event like this is an opportunity to create new friendships. Gain new experiences and share experiences with people from different backgrounds. It will help with your confidence and create lasting memories as you give back to the cause.
