About this role
Leicester Cathedral offers a range of tours to the public, some scheduled on a regular basis and others offered as package to tour groups and special interest parties.
Cathedral guides are trained to lead tours to a designated route and content. As a minimum, guides are trained to lead short Richard III tours and full Cathedral tours but can also opt to have training in other specialist tours if they wish.
Guides can volunteer on any day of the week, offering shifts of any frequency. Largely, guides volunteer in two hours slots as part of the visitor experience team, delivering tours which coincide with their shifts but will also have opportunities to come in at other times.
