About the organisation:

Join our team of over 300 volunteers, making a difference to patients at Leicester’s Hospitals. We know that no one wants to be in hospital, so UHL’s volunteers are there to offer extra support to make patients’ visits more comfortable. From sitting with a patient who is lonely, to giving someone directions to their appointment, every volunteer makes a difference through these small acts of kindness.

Full Details:

You will be part of a small team, pushing a mobile shop trolley ward-to-ward and offering patients newspapers, magazines and sweets.

When and Where:

Glenfield hospital
– Monday 8.30am-12.30
-Tuesday 8.30 am-12.30

Specific Requirements or Restrictions

We are looking for people who: -Would like to make a difference to hospital patients -Are friendly and good at talking to people -Are willing to undertake a DBS check – Are age over 16 – Can commit to a weekly volunteering session for at least 6 months -Are physically able to push the mobile trolley with other volunteers – Confident with handling petty cash
