Alice Hawkins Community Projects is a volunteer-led organisation in the heart of Leicester. We need volunteers to help run our foodbank operation. Willing to learn how to greet our members, register new and existing members, distribute food, receive deliveries and donations and manage stock.
We are looking for volunteers who could commit to join our amazing bank of regular volunteers. You will have the opportunity to carry out a number of activities.
This role includes:
Greeting our members.
Distributing food.
Receiving deliveries and preparing food parcels.
Making drinks and general cleaning.
Registering new and existing members.
Manage stock.
Lifting abilities would be welcome but not essential.
Having the use of a car would also be welcome but not essential.
Our main volunteering days are:
Friday (9am-1pm) to receive deliveries, make up food parcels and prepare for our Saturday open session.
Saturday (10am-1pm) to greet our members and distribute food.

Our funders ask us to report on the age, gender, ethnicity and location of volunteers who use our service. All reporting is anonymous.
We will share your name and contact details with the relevant organisation as part of your application to a volunteering opportunity.
