What you can expect:
Shifts will be for a few hours at a time where you will support different members of the team as they prepare for and deliver the festival.
You will visit different installation sites and talk to artists and the festival team and get feedback or take action as necessary.
You may have to spend some time outdoors and could be positioned in one ‘zone’ for several hours.
You may be required to talk to members of the public and answer questions about the festival.
What we are looking for:
A keen interest in delivering community and or cultural events.
Confidence in speaking with members of the public and audiences.
A flexible approach and willingness to take on a range of different tasks as and when required.
The willingness to travel and to work at weekends and in the evenings as required.
Commitment to equality and diversity.
How to apply:
Please tell us about you, your skills and experience, and why you are interested in the role. You can submit this by email to hello@artreach.org.uk with the subject line Reaction Festival Volunteer, using several formats such as a document (e.g. PDF, .docx, etc.), or video or audio files.
We’d like to have a short video call with you to discuss why you want to volunteer with us and any areas of interest for you. This will take place on Tuesday 8 July.
Please also provide the details of two referees (these can be work-based, character or educational references).
We don’t want our volunteers to be out of pocket for expenses such as meals and refreshments when you volunteer with us. We will reimburse reasonable expenses and make clear the way to do this on appointment.
Closing date: Monday 16 June, 8am
