We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Volunteer Explorer Scout Leader for our Blaby, Leicestershire section.
As an Explorer Scout Leader, you will:
- Lead and supervise a group of adventurous young explorers aged 14 to 18.
Organise and facilitate exciting outdoor activities, camps, and expeditions.
Foster teamwork, leadership, and personal development in our young scouts.
Create a fun and inclusive environment where every scout can thrive and grow.
Collaborate with other leaders and volunteers to plan and execute engaging programs.
Inspire and mentor scouts to develop their skills, confidence, and resilience.
No prior scouting experience is necessary – just a willingness to learn, engage, and contribute to the growth and development of our amazing young people.

Requirements
- Willing to take a DBS Check
The Explorer Scout Leader is the Section Leader for an Explorer Scout Unit. They are responsible for developing and providing quality Explorer Scouting and working with the District Explorer Scout Commissioner in developing and supporting Explorer Scouting in the District as a whole. This may be with the help of Assistant Explorer Scout Leaders, Section Assistants, Young Leaders and members of Scout Active Support as appropriate. Some of the tasks for which the Explorer Scout Leader is responsible may be delegated to others in the Unit, including Assistant Leaders and Section Assistants.
