About this role
The treasurer is a member of the library trustees which run the community library. The role is to handle the financial well being of the library in line with the sectors practices. The library acts as a community hub which is used by various groups from the community as well as special interest groups who meet on a regular basis in the library some hiring the facility for their own use. We also have special events for fund raising such as quiz nights, fairs etc.
The role can be done remotely but there will be some times that the treasurer needs to come to the site to handle the takings and report to the trustees at meetings and the AGM.
The duties will include, Monthly accounts, yearly accounts (which will be audited by our volunteer auditor), handling cash and electronic payments from events and other activities as well handling the financial requirements of any grants that are applied for.
