About this role

Many people are digitally excluded due to a number of language, cultural and social issues. A lack of digital skills impacts on all areas of life including accessing health care, finances and wellbeing.

As a Digital Buddy you will guide and support students to use digital devices and improve their basic digital skills. You will help students to get online safely, encourage them to attend our digital courses and connect with the community. The students will be enrolled on our Developing Digital Confidence, Creativity and Competence course, so you won’t be teaching them or assisting in the classroom, but will be supporting them face to face outside of the classroom environment.

We will provide you with comprehensive training that will enhance your own skills.

  • References needed
  • Willing to take a DBS Check

We need 15 buddies to support our Developing Digital Confidence, Creativity and Competence courses over the next 18-months.

The courses will be based in Leicester, so you will need to be able to travel to various locations across the city, depending on where each course and learner is based.

We anticipate that it will only take a few hours of your time each week, whilst a course is running. Courses don't run at weekends.
