About this role
The role is to support our Dementia Development and Support Worker in engaging people with dementia and their carers.
Our Take-A-Break group is a respite group where the carer leaves their loved one with us for a few hours while they have a rest.
The responsibilities are as follows: to help set up and clear away tables and chairs. to help set up refreshments. To participate in activities such as crafts, games, chatting and singing. To help serve refreshments and dinners.
We offer the role on a rota basis and are happy if you would like to volunteer on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

- Willing to take a DBS Check
It would be ideal if you have some experience of being with someone who has dementia. No formal qualifications are required as training will be given. We do ask all our volunteers to attend an hours dementia friends information session.
