Help us run a series of uplifting community dance events to raise awareness about Borderline Personality Disorder. As an Event Ambassador, you’ll support with set-up, welcoming guests, sharing info, and creating a warm, inclusive space.

Personality Disorders CIC is a community interest company dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by personality disorders, with a special focus on Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Founded by people with passion to help others, our organisation connects individuals with the support, understanding, and services they need to thrive. Drawing on lived experience, professional expertise, and a passion for inclusion, we provide mentoring, education, and awareness-raising initiatives—empowering individuals, families, and communities.

Full Details:

We are looking for friendly, reliable individuals to support a series of community dancing events focused on raising awareness about Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Organised by Personality Disorders CIC, these unique, alcohol-free events offer a safe, welcoming space for people to connect, dance, and learn more about mental health.

As an Event Ambassador, you’ll help create a positive atmosphere by:

Welcoming and supporting guests

Assisting with event set-up and pack-down

Sharing information about the CIC and our cause

Helping manage light admin, info tables, or social media coverage

You can choose the role(s) that suit you best, and we’ll offer support and guidance to help you feel confident.

The events take place on:

Saturday 8 June

Saturday 15 June

Saturday 22 June

Wednesday 3 July

All events will be held in community spaces in Leicestershire. You’re welcome to sign up for one event or all – the role is flexible around your availability.
These events are ideal for anyone interested in community engagement, mental health advocacy, or gaining experience in event organisation.

Specific Requirements or Restrictions

We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. However, we ask that participants meet the following requirements: Minimum age: 16 (those under 18 will need parental consent) Comfortable communicating with the public in a calm and respectful way Reliable and punctual, especially on event days Able to work collaboratively as part of a small team Some roles may involve light lifting (e.g., setting up chairs), but alternative tasks can be arranged if needed No previous event experience is required – a short induction and on-the-day guidance will be provided. We’re happy to discuss accessibility needs and adjust roles accordingly.
