About this role

Pre-Covid-19, creative writing and poetry were provided as part of our core weekly SoundCafe drop-in sessions.  During the pandemic, we have provided virtual creative writing workshops for our guests to do at home to ensure that our guests’ voices are still heard.

The workshops will take place at either the Booth Hall, St Martins House Conference Centre or St Mary De Castro Church on Wednesday afternoons from 1.15pm-3.00pm.

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • have an interest in creative writing and poetry
  • have good communication skills
  • are able to motivate and support our guests through their writing
  • are willing to express an interest in Guests’ writing and provide support
  • are wiling to help set up and tidy away after each session

When you can volunteer

  • References needed
  • Willing to take a DBS Check

No previous experience is required. An interest in writing would be an advantage, though not essential.
