We are looking for drivers to collect food from supermarkets for our community fridge and also volunteers who can look after the fridge during it’s opening hours.
Excitingly the Lutterworth Community Fridge is due to open on 11th April 2024. This project is an environmental one, the aim is to prevent food waste and stop good food ending up in landfill.
To achieve this we need the support of volunteer drivers who can collect the donated food from supermarkets and other food premises and also volunteers to cover the public opening hours of the fridge. The typical volunteering time for this role would be between 1 and 2 hours a week.
The Community Fridge will be available for all the community to use and for the volunteers training will be provided.
