Charnwood Eco Hub is a community-driven initiative dedicated to promoting sustainability, environmental awareness, and green living. Through events, workshops, and local partnerships, we aim to inspire and support individuals in making greener choices while fostering a strong sense of community.

As a Community Engagement Team Member, you will play a key role in building relationships with local residents, groups, and organisations to increase awareness and participation in Charnwood Eco Hub’s initiatives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, outreach, and community-building.

About the organisation:

Charnwood Eco Hub is a not-for-profit, shared community hub based in Loughborough. Our aim is to provide a space to meet, make, fix, create and share sustainable ideas and resources.

Full Details:

Key Responsibilities
• Community Outreach: Engage with local groups, businesses, and residents to promote Eco Hub initiatives.
• Event Support: Assist in organising and running community events, workshops, and activities.
• Volunteer Coordination: Help recruit, onboard, and support new volunteers.
• Social Media & Promotion: Contribute to social media, newsletters, and promotional materials to enhance outreach.
• Feedback & Impact Assessment: Gather insights from the community to improve projects and measure impact.
• Partnership Development: Assist in forming collaborations with like-minded organisations and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
• Passion for sustainability, environmental issues, and community engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in outreach, marketing, or event planning (preferred but not essential).
