Clearing vegetation and debris from the brook in Syston to ensure the water can flow freely.
We are trying to establish a list of people to help clear vegetation and debris from the brook on an ad hoc basis. This work is actually the responsibility of the Riparian Owner but in some cases they are not able to for various reasons. It will require the removal of branches, leaves, twigs etc together with other items that have been discarded eg. hoovers, balls etc. Some works will take place on the bank, others actually in the brook. Any works in the brook will not take place until possibly summer/early autumn depending on the water level and weather.
The date of works cannot be fixed as it depends on the weather, water levels and when/if any work needs to be done. The amount of time you would need to give is led by yourself.
