About this role

We are looking for a new Chair of Trustees to join the Trust, to replace our existing Chair who is stepping down from these duties in Spring 2022 after a successful 4+ years in position.

Someone who can:

·      Be a leader and figurehead for the Trust

·      Direct and manage the board of Trustees

·      Manage monthly Trustee & Management meetings effectively

·       Communicate with all volunteers and “capture” feelings and emotions from volunteers about events within the Trust

·      Be able to relieve Trustees of roles if failings becoming too difficult to endure

·       Have a clear understanding of volunteers and the arena and background as to why volunteers “volunteer” and of our Trust’s ethos and mission

 Requirements

Experience as a Trustee within the charity sector and business would be advantageous.

Have an interest in outdoor pursuits and helping others in our communities.

Willing to take a DBS Check.

The Chair would be supported by an experienced Treasurer and Secretary.

The existing Chair will support and advise any new incumbent as a continuing Trustee.
