Building and Premises Lead to join Board of Trustees, helping our community library to ensure the building is safe, well maintained and suited to the needs of the local community.
Buildings and Premises Lead will carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks where safe and appropriate to do so, escalating to a contractor for anything beyond routine upkeep. To help the Board ensure the library building and its facilities are properly maintained and fit for purpose – prioritising repairs and improvements, managing contractors, and maintaining a constructive relationship with the Council on all premises-related matters. Work closely with the Health & Safety Lead to identify and address premises-related risks, including fire safety and emergency access. Maintain an overview of key services (electricity, heating, water, internet) and help arrange servicing, inspections and maintenance.
Buildings and Premises Lead is flexible, with scheduled monthly committee meetings, and quarterly volunteers meetings. (Hybrid)
