We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring, and community-minded adults to join our team as volunteer leaders for Beavers (6–8), Cubs (8–10½), and Scouts (10½–14) at 12th/74th Leicester Scout Group.

Love working with young people? Want to give back to your community while having fun? The 12th/74th Leicester Scout Group is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts (ages 6–14) on Wednesday evenings from 6:30–8:00 PM. Whether you’re leading games, helping with badge work, or supporting outdoor adventures, your time makes a big difference! Full training is provided, including First Aid, safeguarding, and modules on working with young people. No experience needed – just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved. Looking for a fun and flexible way to give back to your community? Come and join the 12th/74th Leicester Scout Group! We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to support our Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts (ages 6–14) on Wednesday evenings, 6:30–8:00 PM.

Whether you’re leading games, helping with crafts, or supporting outdoor adventures, your time will help young people grow in confidence and skills. No experience? No problem — full training is provided, including First Aid, Safeguarding, and modules on working with young people.

This opportunity takes place every Wednesday evening during term time, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, at our group venue:

Most sessions are held at this location, but occasional trips may take place offsite at exciting venues such as campsites, fire stations, museums, or local outdoor activity centres — all within reasonable distance and fully supervised. Volunteers are always kept informed in advance.

We welcome volunteers who can commit weekly, fortnightly, or occasionally — we’re flexible and happy to work around your availability

Specific Requirements or Restrictions

Volunteers must be aged 18+ and complete a free enhanced DBS check (arranged by us). All volunteers will receive full support and training, including safeguarding, first aid, and key modules on working with young people. No prior experience is needed – just a willingness to get involved, a sense of fun, and a commitment to supporting young people in a safe and positive environment.
