About this role

SoundCafe Leicester Arts and Crafts workshops uses arts and crafts to enable our guests to explore their own creativity. Our guests may be homeless, have lived experience, at risk of homelessness or socially isolated.

Pre-Covid-19 arts and crafts were provided as part of our core weekly SoundCafe drop in sessions.  During the pandemic we have provided virtual arts and crafts workshops for our guests to do at home to ensure that our guests voices are still heard.

Arts and Crafts workshops will be held at either the Booth Hall, St Martins House or St Mary de Castro Church on alternate Wednesdays from 1.15pm-3.00pm.

We are looking for volunteers who:

  • have a passion for arts and crafts
  • have the ability to support our guests in an inclusive way
  • have good communication skills
  • are friendly and welcoming
  • are willing to facilitate workshops using your own artistic skills
  • can motivate and encourage others
