LLR Mind were looking for several volunteers to help them organise and deliver LLR Mind’s Mental Elf fun run which ran on Sunday 3rd December at Victoria Park, Leicester.
Hosted by Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Mind, the run is full of festive fun whilst raising awareness of mental health and much needed funds to support people with poor mental health. Throughout the year, they run many exciting events aiming to raise funds and awareness of the work that they do.
VAL were approached to promote the volunteering role of Event Volunteer for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Mind.
Chief officer of MIND reports,
“The site was useful in recruiting volunteers although, we had a couple pull out in the week leading up to the event we still had four volunteers who engaged in the event.
They were all really helpful and enthusiastic (especially given the weather conditions) and we’re hoping that all of them will join us again this year!”.
